Tent Peak Climbing is an adventurous journey that will take you to the heart of the Annapurna region. Tent Peak is an easy climbing peak in the Annapurna region from where you will get to see the magnificent panorama of the Himalayan landscape. Tent Peak Climbing begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From here, you will ascend to the beautiful Ghorepani village.

Next morning, you will hike to Poon Hill from where you will get to see a gorgeous sunrise. The trail then leads you to Annapurna Base Camp via Chomrong, Himalayan Hotel, and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Further, you will push towards the summit of Tent Peak with a gradual stop at Tent Peak Base Camp and Tent Peak High Camp. After the summit, you will trek back to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.

Altitude Sickness and Prevention

Tent Peak Climbing will take you above 5,000 meters above that means this adventurous does involves chances of altitude sickness. Also, known as Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) is a general illness travelers face during the high altitude journeys. The best thing you can do to avoid AMS is by adding enough rest days in your itinerary and drinking plenty of water.

Transportation and Bag Pack

With a long scenic drive from Kathmandu, you will reach Pokhara nd then head to Nayapul. From here, you will gradually ascend towards the summit of Tent Peak via Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchhre Base Camp.

Accommodation & Food during Tent Peak Climbing

During Tent Peak Climbing, you will stay in a lodge. Lodges at a high elevation usually come with basic facilities and small rooms along with common washrooms. The food will be served as per the menu of the lodge. Similarly, in Tent Peak base camp and high camp, you will stay overnight in a camp. The food will be cooked and served by the porters.

**Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,315m/4,270ft); transfer to Hotel **

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by one of the team representatives from Peak Explorer. He will take you to the hotel and assist you check-in. You can rest for a few hours and later refresh yourself by strolling on the colorful and lively streets of Thamel. In the late evening, you will join the welcome dinner organized by the company. Overnight in hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu & trip preparation

Today is your free day in Kathmandu for sightseeing and trip preparation. You will begin your day with a delicious breakfast. After that, your tour guide will take you sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Later in the late afternoon, you will arrange your gears and permits. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (8, 20m/2,700ft); 6 hours

Today, you will drive to the beautiful Pokhara valley. The drive will present you with wonderful landscape views. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will move to your hotel and rest for a few hours. Later, in the evening, you will explore the vibrant Lakeside market and do boating on tranquil Fewa Lake while enjoying the view of Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m). Overnight in a hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul by private vehicle and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,540m/5,080ft); 4 hours

After having breakfast, you will drive towards Nayapul. From here, you will begin trekking along the Modi Khola and pass by small villages. Trekking through the farming area, you will reach Tikhedhunga. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2,850m /9,130ft); 6 hours

From Tirkhedhunga, you will ascend on steep rocky steps for around an hour and reach Ulleri. The trail from here includes forested path and take you to one of the most beautiful villages of Annapurna region, Ghorepani. This village is surrounded by gorgeous rhododendron trees and mostly resided by Magar's.

Day 06: Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m/10,531ft) and trek to Tadapani (2,640m/8,661ft); 5 hours

You will wake up early in the morning and go on a short hike to Poon Hill to capture wonderful sunrise in your memory. The path will be rugged but easy. Upon reaching the vantage point, you will get to witness gorgeous sunrise along with the western Himalayas. After spending some time, you will return back to Ghorepani, have breakfast, and continue trekking towards Tadapani. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Chomrong (2,170m/7,11ft); 5 hours

Leaving Tadapani behind, you will descend through a lovely forest of pine & rhododendron to reach Kimrong valley. Further, you will ascend for around an hour and descend to reach Chomrong village where you will spend overnight. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Himalayan Hotel (2,840m/9,318ft); 6 hours

The trail descends to the Chomrong River. You will cross a bridge and ascend for around an hour to Sinuwa Danda from where you will get to see amazing views of rolling green hills. Further, the trail goes through dense forests and take you to Bamboo. You will then gradually climb up to reach Himalayan Hotel situated near large Hinko Cave beneath Hiunchuli Peak (6,441 m).

Day 09: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m/12,140ft); 4 hours

Leaving Himalayan Hotel behind, you will trek on the glacier and pass a moraine. Crossing a small bridge, you will reach Deurali. From here onwards, you will only get to see high alpine shrubs and bushes. The trail then ascends along the Modi river and take you to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 10: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,549ft); 3 hours

Today, the trail will lead you to the famous Annapurna Base Camp. Trekking on a grassy slope, you will reach ABC from where you will get to see a stunning landscape view along with panoramic views of Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), and numerous other mountains. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 11: Acclimatization & short hike around; climbing preparation

This is your rest day to acclimate your body with the increased altitude. You will spend exploring around and preparing for Tent Peak climbing. Today, the guide will also give you a brief about the route ahead and teach you some climbing techniques. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Tent Peak Base Camp (4,460m /14,632ft); 5 hours

From ABC, you will begin trekking on a rocky moraine covered with snow. Further, you will walk on the icy trail for around an hour and reach the south glacier of Annapurna. The trail will present you with outstanding views of Himalayan mountains. Trekking gradually on the rugged glacial path, you will Tent Peak Base Camp for night stay. Overnight in a camp.

Day 13: Climb to Tent Peak High Camp (5,210m/17,093ft); 4 hours

After having breakfast, you slowly ascend towards Tent Peak High Camp. The trail will be short and also give you enough time to acclimatize before pushing towards the summit. Ascending on a steep trail, you will reach the high camp where you will stop for the night. Overnight in a camp.

Day 14: Summit Tent Peak (5,663m/18,579ft) and return to High Camp

Today, you will wake up early in the morning and have some warm breakfast. after that, you will begin ascending on a steep snowy slope. On the way, you may encounter a few technical sections and reach the top of the Tent Peak from where breath-taking views of the Himalayan panorama can be seen. After soaking the beauty, you will descend back to High Camp. Overnight in a camp.

Day 15: Return back to Annapurna Base Camp; 5-6 hours

After having breakfast, you will descend to Annapurna Base Camp retracing the same trail. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 16: Trek Back to Bamboo (2,310m/7,578ft); 6 hours

The trail from here mostly includes a downhill walk with a few ascends. Retracing the same trail, you will reach Deurali. From here, you will trek through dense forest and reach Bamboo. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 17: Trek to Jhinu Dada (1,760m/5,774ft); 5 hours

The trek begins with a short steep climb to Khuldi Ghar. From here, you will descend to Sinuwa Danda. The trail then further descend to Chomrong Khola. Crossing this Khola on a bridge, you will trek for around an hour and reach Chomrong village. You will then ascend to Chomrong ridge and descend to Jhinu Danda. Overnight in a lodge.

Day 18: Trek to Nayapul 5 hours walk & 2 hours drive to Pokhara

After having breakfast, you will descend and reach Modi Khola. From here, you will trek through terraced fields and small villages. The trail the pass by a forested area and lead you to Bhirethati. A short walk from here will lead you to Nayapul from where you will hop on a van and drive back to Pokhara. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 19: Drive to Kathmandu

Today, you will drive back to Kathmandu following the same route. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will move to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for you to explore around and do some shopping. Later, in the evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by the company for the successful completion of the trip as well as trusting us to be your travel partner. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 20: Final Departure

After having breakfast, one of the members of our team will help you check-out of the hotel. He will move you to the airport to take your flight back to your home or next destination.
