Altitude Sickness and Prevention
This trek will take you around 3,200 meters, which is said to be the high altitude. However, this trek does not carry that much chances of altitude sickness as you will gradually get elevation within the span of a couple of days. Also, the highest point of the trek is Poon Hill where you will stay for only a couple of hours or so. Usually, trekkers do not have to face with AMS during this trek, and even if you get altitude sickness, our professional trained guide will help you to recover it.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek offers a huge variety of food choices from local cuisine to Asian and Continental. The dishes are all tasty, cooked well, and hygienic. Along with that, you can also get different kinds of snacks, bars, soft drinks, coffee, tea, etc everywhere.
For accommodation, you can find rooms generally with two beds in both tea house and nice lodge with common washrooms. A few lodges may have the facility of the private washroom, but it cannot be guaranteed. Similarly, the rooms will be small with little furniture, and there will be a hot shower facility almost everywhere.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu via respective airlines
This is your arrival day in Nepal. You will land at Tribhuvan International Airport where one of our team representatives will be waiting for you to welcome on behalf of us. He will guide you to the hotel. Later, in the evening, you will have delicious authentic Nepali welcome dinner organized by the company.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (950 m); 6 to 7 hrs drive
This day will take you to the beautiful Pokhara valley known as the gateway of several thrilling outdoor activities. The drive will be long and present you mesmerizing landscape views. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will move to the hotel and rest for a few hours. In the evening, you can stroll on the bustling Lakeside market and enjoy tasty dinner while gazing at the beautiful sunset.
Day 03: Drive Pokhara - Naya Pul and trek to Ulleri (2,050 m/6,725 ft); 1 hour 30 min drive & 6 hrs trek
Another day, another drive. Today, a short drive will take you to Nayapul. Crossing Tikhedhunga river on a suspension bridge, you will descend and cross Bhurungdi Khola. From here, ascend on a stone staircase, you will reach the Ulleri village resided by Magars.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,874 m); 5 hrs walk
Leaving Ulleri behind, you will ascend through farming land. The trail then goes along a river and further pass by beautiful forests of rhododendron & oak. You will then cross three clear streams and gradually ascends towards Nangathanti (2,460 m). After having a short lunch break here, you will trek and reach Ghorepani for night stay.
Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) via Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft); 6 hrs
Today, you will wake up early in the morning to witness the gorgeous sunrise from Poon Hill. The trail to Poon Hill is mostly ascended on a rugged path. After spending some time here, you will come back to Ghorepani for breakfast and move towards Tadapani.
Day 06: Trek to via Ghandruk village drive to Pokhara (1,940 m); 6 hrs
After having breakfast, you will retrace the previous trail and reach Ghandruk village. From here, you will further descend to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. This time you can do boating on lovely Fewa Lake while looking over Mt. Fishtail.
Day 7: Drive Pokhara (827m) - Kathmandu (1,375m)
Leaving Pokhara behind, you will drive back to Kathmandu. You will follow the same route and reach Kathmandu. You can do the shopping and look around. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by the company.
Day 08: Final Departure
With a heavy heart and lots of memories, you will fly back to your home today.
