Khopra Danda Trek is a short and adventurous journey to one of the less-traveled trails of the Annapurna region. The trail is less crowded and beautifully packed with nature's beauty. Poon Hill Viewpoint
Before leaving Ghorepani village, you ascend to Poon Hill, which is a viewpoint. This will help you to acclimate your body as well as offers gorgeous sunrise view. The trail from Ghoreapni to Poon Hill is steep and rugged.
Located at 3,640 meters, Khopra Danda is a beautiful hilltop. Here, you might get to see animals like Himalayan Thar and Himalayan Monal. Upon reaching Khopra Dada, you will get to see superb views of Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Nilgiri, and several other mountains.

You need to walk for at least 5 to 6 hours a day.
Altitude Sickness and Prevention
Khopra Danda Trek does involve chances of altitude sickness because of the high altitude. You will traverse above 4,000 meters, which is a very high altitude. However, you will be gradually gaining elevation that lowers the risks of suffering from AMS. The best thing you can do to avoid AMS is by keeping yourself hydrated during the trek.
Transportation and Bag Pack
Khopra Danda Trek 12 Days begins with a long and scenic drive from Kathmandu to Tikhedhunga. From here, you will gradually ascend towards the top of the Khopra Danda.
Food and Accommodation during Khopra Danda Trek
You will be staying in the guesthouse during Khopra Danda Trek. The guesthouse will have basic rooms with a bed and a few pieces of furniture. There will be a hot shower facility almost everywhere.
For food, you will be eating meals as per the menu of the guesthouse. You can find dishes like rice, curries, sandwiches, bakeries, momo, noodles, veggies, bars, drinks, tea, coffee, etc.

March to May (Spring) and October to November (Autumn) are the best time to go on Khopra Danda Trek. The stable weather and lovely climate makes these months the most preferable time of the year to go on any trek in Nepal.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m) & transfer to the hotel
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by one of our team representatives. He will take you to the hotel. You can rest for the day. In the evening, you will stroll on the vibrant streets of Thamel, and end your day with welcome dinner.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (850 m); 7 hrs
After having breakfast, you will drive to one of the biggest cities in Nepal, Pokhara. The drive will be long and scenic. Lush green hills, rivers, waterfalls, dense forests, and small settlements area will keep you accompany during the drive. Upon reaching Pokhara, you will move to the hotel.
Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1,488 m); 2 hrs
Today, you will take a short drive to Tikhedhunga. The drive will be scenic and present to you the countryside views. You will have enough time to explore the village and relax.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2,875 m); 4-5 hrs
Trekking through small villages and lush forests, you will ascend towards beautiful Ghorepani village. Surrounded by lush forests and mountains, you will get to see wonderful views from Ghorepani.
Day 05: Trek to Swanta/Upper Chistibung, early morning hike to Poonhill (3,000 m); 5-6 hrs
Wake up early in the morning and hike up to Poon Hill from where you will get to see gorgeous sunrise along with the western Himalayas. After that, you will descend to Ghorepani for breakfast, and continue trekking towards Swanta.
Day 06: Trek to Khopra Danda (3,640 m); 3 hrs
The trail ascends towards Khopra Danda. On the way, you might get to see an animal like Himalayan Thar and Himalayan Monal. Upon reaching Khopra Dada, you will get to see superb views of Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Nilgiri, and several other mountains.
Day 07: Trek to Khopra Danda, day-trip to Khayer Lake (4,660 m); 7-8 hrs
The trail move towards Khayar Lake, which is also a pilgrimage site for Hindus. The trail mostly ascends and becomes steeper at the end. After spending some time at the lake, you will return to Khopra Danda for a night stay.
Day 08: Trek to Tatopani (1,250 m); 4-5 hrs
After having breakfast, you will descend to Tatopani. Trekking through small villages and terraced fields, you will reach Tatopani, where you will find natural hot spring. You can take a hot bath in the hot spring by paying a few bucks.
Day 09: Drive to Pokhara (815 m); 4 hrs
Today, you will drive back to Pokhara. You will have the rest of the day free to explore. You can do boating on the tranquil Fewa Lake, and explore the lively Lakeside market.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,300 m); 7 hrs
Another long and scenic drive will take you back to Kathmandu. You will move to the hotel and rest. You can do whatever you want as the day is leisure for you.
Day 11: Rest Day in Kathmandu (optional sightseeing in Kathmandu)
It is an extra day in Kathmandu. you can rest or explore the nearby monuments. If you want, we can also arrange a guided sightseeing tour for you. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner.
Day 12: Final Departure
As per your flight departure time, one of our team members will drop you at the airport.
